The International Tungsten Industry Association (ITIA) was formally inaugurated in Brussels in February 1988 and is registered as an association with scientific purposes under Belgian Law. Some 51 companies from 15 countries are members of the Association including mining companies, processors/consumers, trading compaines and assayers. Any company involved in tungsten may join, subject to fulfilling the requirements laid down by the ITIA Charter.
