American Iron Ore Association is a trade association that has represented iron ore interests in the United States and Canada since 1882. AIOA member companies account for approximately 92 percent of the iron ore produced in the United States. The companies operate state-of-the-art iron ore pellet plants in North America that competitively meet the stringent quality standards of steel producers. The plants have an effective annual capacity of over 85 million tons of iron ore.
