Down Time Services Machining & Bolting has been serving our customer’s needs with complete 'ON-SITE' field machining services for over 18 years. We field machine (resurface) all sizes of flanges, specializing in large flanges with diameters up to 20 feet using unmodified in-house equipment that mounts both internally and externally, depending on your requirements. We utilize boring bars up to 32 feet long and provide a 10 inch diameter bolting service with a large inventory of state-of-the-art in-house developed hydraulic tensioners. These hydraulic tensioners are designed to be manifolded together in series using a single hydraulic pump to tension bolt/stud assemblies on flanges, pipes, reactor heads, boiler housings and various other large machinery. We have measuring services with substantial inventory of metrology & optical equipment. A fleet of 'new' Tractor-Trailers is used to transport our large portable tooling inventory, which includes lathes, flange facers, boring bars, mills, drills, grinders, optical & laser inspection tools, and more, to your site. Given that capability, our field services group receives the total support of our shop facilities group in approved lifting devices and specialized lifting cradles designed for shipping in order to meet OSHA requirements. Our personnel understand and observe the recognized safe methods for properly loading our delivery vehicles, which meet stringent highway regulations.
