In our continuing efforts to better serve our customers, MAC Corporation purchased the Saturn Shredder brand of slow speed rotary shear type shredders in 1980.

Saturn Shredders have been produced since 1972 and used worldwide in a wide variety of size / volume reduction applications.

In 1981, the fabrication of Saturn Shredders was incorporated into the existing manufacturing facility of the MAC Corporation.

In keeping with our corporate philosophy of ''continuous improvement''. we began an extensive evaluation and redesign program in 1984. This program led to over 35 proprietary design and manufacturing improvements which resulted in increased throughput capacities, decreased maintenance costs and increased ''on-line'' time for our customers.

The designation for the redesigned shredders include ''HT'' for the Higher Torque that was achieved from the redesign program. With Saturn's patented hydraulic drive and automatic anti-jamming capabilities, troublesome materials are readily reduced without excessive stress on the shredder or shredder drive systems.

Saturn offers a complete line of shredding equipment to handle virtually any waste reduction requirement. Based on test runs in our on-site test facilities, our engineers will design a system specifically for your materials.
