A Division of International Marine Salvage Inc. Raw Materials Company is Canada's largest and Ontario's only processor of multiple battery types. We are conveniently located 20 minutes from the U.S.-Canadian border at Fort Erie-Buffalo, 90 minutes from Toronto and accessible by major highways. Raw Materials Company recycles on site in excess of 30 Million pounds annually.
On site services include identification, sorting, packaging, labeling, documentation preparation and freight. Other services include training personnel, import/export documentation, waste generator registration, transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous battery wastes, processing/recycling of all waste batteries including electrolytes.
Raw Materials Company is permitted by the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Energy to collect and process air depolarized zinc batteries, nickel cadmium batteries, lead acid batteries, alkaline cells, magnesium batteries, silver oxide batteries, lithium batteries, mercury oxide batteries as well as all other mercury bearing wastes which include contaminated soils, elemental mercury, fluorescent light tubes, mercury containing switches, thermometers & devices etc...
